Day 10: December 18, 2025.

Topic: The Birth in Bethlehem

Scripture: Luke 2:1–7: “… While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”

Cross-Reference: Philippians 2:6–7: “Who, being in the very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”

Reflection:
In the quiet of night, beneath an indifferent sky, the greatest miracle unfolded. The Creator entered creation. The Eternal stepped into time. The King of kings was born among the poor and unseen. Every detail of His birth speaks of divine humility: a manger instead of a cradle, swaddling cloths instead of royal robes.

This was no accident; it was divine intent. The God of glory chose simplicity to reveal His love. In the obscurity of Bethlehem, heaven and earth met. The cries of a newborn became the song of salvation.

This Christmas, let the humility of Christ draw you near. He doesn’t wait for perfection. He enters the mess, the ordinary, the quiet corners of life. And when He does, every stable becomes a sanctuary.

Prayer
Jesus, I stand in awe of Your humility. You chose poverty over power and simplicity over status. Be born anew in my heart today, and let Your presence fill the ordinary places of my life. Amen.
