Jesus Loves You
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
He cares for your soul
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark. 8 Verses 34 – 38.
The soul of man is precious and great because he has the breath of God in him. Man is eternal as God Himself is eternal and nobody could give redemption for that soul except God Himself through His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ Who died on the Cross to redeem man as his Saviour and Lord
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8
Jesus’ love for humanity and his desire to save people from sin.
Because we are spiritually dead and children of wrath through our transgressions (sins) against God, and therefore God’s righteous wrath is already upon us. (Ephesians 2:1–3)
We cannot be justified by works of the Law on the day of judgement (Romans 3:20). We can try and be justified (declared righteous) before God through doing good works, and this could indeed lower the severity of our punishment (Luke 12:47–48), because some sins are greater than others (John 19:10–11), but it will not take away our eternal
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” – Romans 1:16
Jesus is important to you because through His Atonement, teachings, hope, peace, and example, He helps us change our lives, face our trials, and move forward with faith as we journey back to Him and His Father.
“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” – 1 Peter 3:18
Jesus left Heaven to take on human flesh, consciously limiting Himself for us. He endured scorn, ridicule, betrayal, brutal torture, and execution on a cross. Though innocent of sin or any wrongdoing, He chose to give His life as an atoning sacrifice for sinners, bridging the separation between a God and sinful humanity.
Christ’s unconditional love for us still shines as a beacon of hope and salvation.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
Jesus also promised rest to those who followed Him (see Matt. 11:28-30). This rest is also a gift provided by the Father. Without Christ, we have the burden of trying to earn our way to God (this is our disobedience). However, in Christ we find complete rest from our search for something secure. Jesus alone is God’s provision for our rest. If we reject this provision, we are choosing to reject His rest. True rest found in the security of faith in His Son is the gift awaiting His followers.
Let Us Pray:
Dear God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and need a Savior. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and that He rose again. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I ask You to forgive my sins and make me a new creation in You. Thank You for Your love and grace. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
