November 17, 2025: The Blessing of God’s Favour and Peace

Key Verse:
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24–26, NIV)

Reflection:
This priestly blessing, given by God to Moses for the people of Israel, is more than a prayer. It is a divine decree of favour. When God’s face shines upon you, it symbolizes His approval, presence, and delight. His graciousness represents undeserved kindness, and His peace (shalom) points to wholeness in every area of life: spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational.

To “be kept” by God means to live under His divine protection and care. Favour, in this context, is not just material prosperity but the radiant experience of living under God’s watchful eye. It is His face turned toward you in compassion, His hands stretched out in blessing, and His presence surrounding you with peace.

This blessing reminds us that the greatest gift we can receive is God Himself: His nearness, His kindness, and His peace that surpasses understanding.

Application:
Speak this blessing over yourself, your family, and others. Let it shape your prayers and outlook each day. As you walk in obedience and gratitude, trust that God’s favour is shining upon you and that His peace will anchor your heart in every situation.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your shining face upon my life. Let Your presence surrounds me with peace and grace. Keep me under Your watchful care and help me reflect Your light to others. May Your favour rest upon me and all that I do today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declaration:
The Lord’s face shines upon me. His favour, grace, and peace surround me today and always.
