Key Verse:
“You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit.” (Job 10:12, NIV)
Reflection:
Job’s words remind us that God’s favour is not limited to success or comfort. It is the sustaining power that keeps us even in hardship. Job had lost everything, yet he recognised that his life itself was a sign of God’s mercy.
God’s favour is seen in the breath you take, the strength to endure, and the peace that anchors your heart amid trials. His kindness is not withdrawn when life feels unfair. His providence watches over your spirit, ensuring that you are not destroyed by what was meant to break you.
When you understand favour this way, you begin to thank God not only for blessings received but for preservation through pain. His favour keeps you alive and aligned with His purpose.
Application:
Pause and thank God for His sustaining hand. Reflect on moments when He kept you from falling apart. Recognise His favour not only in promotion but also in protection and preservation.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for giving me life and showing me kindness even in difficult seasons. Watch over my spirit and strengthen me to walk in Your will. Amen.
Daily Declaration:
God’s favour preserves my life and strengthens my spirit.
