Key Verse:
“May I continue to find favour in your eyes, my lord,” she said. “You have put me at ease by speaking kindly to your servant.” (Ruth 2:13, NIV)
Reflection:
Ruth experienced favour in a foreign land. She had left everything behind, yet God guided her steps to a field where kindness awaited her. Favour often appears through the compassion of others whom God moves on your behalf.
Boaz’s kind words eased Ruth’s fears and affirmed her worth. That is the nature of divine favour. It brings peace where there was uncertainty and restores dignity where there was loss. When God’s favour rests on you, He raises people who will speak life into your journey.
Ruth’s humility also stands out. She did not assume favour; she valued it. Gratitude kept her open to more blessings. Favour thrives where humility and gratitude dwell.
Application:
Appreciate the people God uses to show you kindness. Respond with humility and thankfulness. Recognize that favour is both a gift and a responsibility to reflect God’s goodness to others.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for showing me favour through the kindness of others. Help me stay humble, grateful, and willing to be a channel of Your goodness. Amen.
Daily Declaration:
God’s favour brings peace, comfort, and open doors in my life.
