Key Verse:
“And because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests.” (Nehemiah 2:8, NIV)
Reflection:
Nehemiah faced an impossible task. He was a servant in exile who desired to rebuild Jerusalem’s walls. By human standards, his request to the king was bold, even risky. Yet, the outcome was in his favour because the gracious hand of God was upon him.
When God’s hand is on your life, ordinary moments become divine opportunities. Doors open without striving. Hearts soften in your favour. What seems beyond reach becomes possible. Favour is not manipulation; it is the invisible influence of God working through people and circumstances to fulfill His purpose.
Nehemiah’s confidence was not in his position but in God’s presence. He understood that divine favour makes even kings respond with generosity.
Application:
Before seeking human approval, seek God’s hand on your life. His favour can achieve in a moment what effort cannot in years. Stay prayerful, faithful, and ready when the door opens.
Prayer:
Lord, let Your gracious hand rest upon me. Go before me in every decision and cause my requests to find favour in the right places. Amen.
Daily Declaration:
The gracious hand of God is upon me, granting favour and success in His purpose.
