Key Verse:
“But Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord.” (Genesis 6:8, NIV)
Reflection:
In a corrupt and violent world, Noah stood out not because he was perfect, but because he walked faithfully with God. While others turned away, Noah’s heart remained aligned with God’s will. As a result, he found favour in the Lord’s eyes. Divine favour is not random; it flows from God to a life that seeks to please Him even when the world moves in the opposite direction.
Noah’s favour didn’t exempt him from challenges. It assigned him a divine task. He was chosen to build an ark, endure ridicule, and preserve life during a flood. Likewise, when God’s favour rests upon you, it often comes with purpose and responsibility. His grace equips you to carry out His plans, no matter how daunting they may seem.
When others see only chaos, God sees hearts that are faithful. His favour finds those who walk with Him in quiet obedience, trusting His voice above all else.
Application:
Ask yourself today: “Am I walking in a way that pleases God?” Choose to live with integrity even when it is unpopular. Remember, God’s favour is drawn to faithfulness and humility.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the example of Noah. In a world that often rejects Your ways, help me to walk faithfully with You. May my life reflect obedience and trust, and may I find favour in Your eyes. Use me for Your purpose and glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
