“And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. Luke 23:44-45.
As Christians, we are called to walk by faith and trust in God’s promises. Even when we face seasons of darkness, we hold on to the hope that joy comes in the morning.
On the day Jesus was crucified, darkness covered the earth for three hours in the middle of the day — a sign that something extraordinary was unfolding. This was a pivotal moment in history: God’s redemptive plan for humanity was being fulfilled through the sacrifice of His Son.
PRAYER:
Lord, in times of darkness, fill us with Your light. Help us trust Your plans and remember that You are always with us. We find strength and comfort knowing our relationship with You is restored through Jesus Christ. Amen.
ALTAR CALL:
I surrender all to Jesus Christ.
