Day 7: December 15, 2025.

Topic: Mary’s Call

Scripture: Luke 1:26–33: “The angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.’”

Cross-Reference: Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.”

Reflection:
Mary’s story begins with divine interruption. A heavenly messenger entered her ordinary day with extraordinary news: she would carry the Son of God. Her first reaction was fear, but the angel’s words were clear: “Do not be afraid.” Favour had found her.

God’s calling often arrives clothed in uncertainty. Mary didn’t have all the answers, but she had faith. Her surrender was her response: “Let it be to me according to Your word.” This response became the doorway for salvation to enter the world. Through her obedience, eternity was set in motion.

God still calls ordinary hearts to carry His presence into a weary world. You may not see the full picture, but like Mary, you can say yes to His plan. Your obedience, no matter how small, can become part of His redemptive story.

Prayer
Father, help me respond to Your call with faith and surrender. When fear rises, remind me of Your favour. Let my life be a vessel through which Jesus is revealed to the world. Amen
